Museum Design & Production
I have managed the design development, proofing, and final production on a variety of assets from visitor maps to wayfinding to intricate invitations for the California Academy of Sciences’ annual Gala to a full-scale exhibitions. I coordinated and managed artwork and content schedules, as well as reviews and proofs between vendor and stakeholders, ensuring the final product is on-brand and in-hand within the desired timeline.
See gallery below for a small taste of the designs I’ve managed.
-

Temporary, Permanent & Digital Signage
I oversaw all wayfinding and temporary signage on the public floor of the California Academy of Sciences, including interchangeable fixtures on the Welcome Wall, printing and deploying all temporary paper signage, and the visitor map. I worked with local print vendors like Sterling Graphics to bring artwork that requires special fabrication to life.
I also managed the production of all digital signage, including implementing a new wayfinding e-ink signage initiative to minimize paper waste and make signage more mission-aligned.
I managed the digital signage calendar and working with internal partners to test and deploy new media.
-

Physical Product & Special Event Print Production
I managed the artwork development, proofing, and production for many physical products from pins to shirts to books, often sourcing new vendors to produce for the right quality and price. I have worked with local institutions like Babylon Burning, San Franpsycho, Oakland United Brewing, and Haight Street Art Center to turn thoughtful designs into cherished keepsakes.
I worked with local print vendors to produce high-visibility print items, including the designs for our annual Gala, the invitation for which would often include special print needs. I worked with and maintained great relationships with local vendors Third Bay Letterpress, H&H Printing, and Blueprint Studios to bring these efforts to life.

Exhibition Production
For three years, I managed production of the BigPicture exhibit, including scheduling and maintaining timelines of all artwork and content development and reviews, design and photography proofs and reviews, and production and fabrication of all exhibit elements. I worked with registrars and preparators on exhibition installation, as well as coordinating the development and deployment of an interactive kiosk.
